It’s highly recommended to purchase organic options when fiscally possible.  The items listed as “Organic” means that if purchased conventionally then it has a high content of pesticides, herbicides and is most likely laden with GMO’s.

Example: “Organic Apples.”  I would only purchase organic apples because the conventional 4 digit apples have a high content of pesticides, herbicides and GMO’s.

Example: “Avocado.”  If you can afford to buy organic avocados then more power to yah. However, these amazing powerhouse fruits can already be kinda spendy.  Feel good knowing you can get away with buying these conventionally due to their protective skin.  Guacamole... here we come!

GF is the acronym for “Gluten Free.”  I purchase my GF bread at a local restaurant and it’s amazing. Check with your local farmers market, grocery stores and bakeries to see if they have Organic GF bread with a list of the ingredients.  Remember to ask your restaurant server what GF options they have available!

The Good Ole' Days

As a former Dancer, Track Athlete and University of Oregon College Cheerleader I knew the determination and dedication it took to have a fit and healthy physique.

Mama Mayhem

In the baby and toddler days, my "exercise" consisted of walks on the beach, bending to pick up baby toys and randomly running after Camila.

Motivated Mama

Watch out Brittany!  You ain't got nothin on this motivated Mama who is laser focused, dancin like it aint no one's business and is bringing along a crew of Mama's too!!

Why Exercise?

How Does Exercise Help With My Thyroid?

Exercise has been proven to help thyroid patients lower their TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) levels and help increase their T3 (Triiodothyronine) and T4 (Thyroxine).  When you shake your groove thang you naturally will increase your metabolic rate, stimulate appetite, digestion, breakdown of nutrients and absorption, increase oxygen consumption, raise your breathing rate, heart rate and contraction strength.

My Songs

These songs got me through my healing journey and I refer to them almost daily to keep me in check.   What songs resonate with you?

This song reminds me that my trials and tribulations will be used for good to help others.

This song reminds me that I am well taken care and have a purpose here on earth.

This song confirms that I am loved and not alone in my healing journey.

This song gives me strength when I am attacked for my natural lifestyle and calms my stress.

This song brings peace and joy to my soul because of it's strength.

My Devotional

This book rocks.  I love reading Camila's "Jesus Calling" daily devotional bible with her.  It might be geared towards lil ones but Mama's can sure get something out of this.  Yes, they do have an adult version which I recently bought.  My family and I do our best to implement daily morning devotionals but were perfectly imperfect and sometimes start our day in rush mode.  If our mornings go from 0-60 then we will make time at night to read our books.

Camila is quite amazing and memorizes most of the stories then regurgitates the story like a parrot.  As a Mama, I want to give Camila the tools of consistency regarding her knowledge of who God is and to encourage a healthy understanding of who she is in God's eyes.

This book was such an important aspect of my healing and I truly felt comforted by the words that I read and I felt supported by the strength of the words even through the uncertainty.
